Your journey starts with a laid-back cruise in a country boat through the serene backwaters of Kumarakom, followed by authentic interactions with local farmers and traditional village crafts.

Day 1: Rural Immersion & Village Life Experience

Day 1: Rural Immersion & Village Life Experience Morning (09:00 AM): Board a laid-back country boat for a serene canal cruise through the backwaters of Kumarakom. Mid-Morning: Embark on a guided Farm Visit and Paddy Field Visit to understand traditional agricultural practices in the lush green fields. Interactive Activities: Experience local livelihood skills firsthand, including Coconut Tree Climbing, Toddy Tapping, Weaving Coconut Leaves, Screw Pine Weaving, and Coir Making. Afternoon: Try traditional techniques like Net Fishing and Bow and Arrow Fishing in the local waterways before wrapping up your immersive rural journey.

Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to availability and will be confirmed upon successful payment verification. A confirmation voucher will be sent via email or WhatsApp. Check-In / Departure Policy: Guests are requested to arrive at the designated boarding or pickup point in Kumarakom at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour start time. Late arrivals may result in shortened activity durations without a refund. Weather & Safety Conditions: The backwater cruise and outdoor farming/fishing activities are subject to weather conditions. In the event of heavy rain, severe weather, or unexpected safety alerts, Village Technologies reserves the right to reschedule the tour or offer a suitable alternative. Guest Responsibilities: Guests participating in hands-on village activities (such as coconut tree climbing, net fishing, and toddy tapping) do so under the guidance of local experts and at their own discretion. Safety instructions provided by the guides must be followed at all times. Liability: Village Technologies acts as an experience aggregator and coordinator. We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the course of the tour. Code of Conduct: Respect for local village communities, private agricultural lands, and the natural environment is mandatory. Disruptive behavior may result in the termination of the tour without a refund.

Pickup & drop

Pickup and drop available from designated points in Kumarakom. Private resort transfers can be arranged upon request.

Cancellation information

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour date. Cancellations made within 48 hours are subject to a standard cancellation fee.
